How about a Food Diary?

How to end your crippling obsession with food. Do you think about food a lot? dream about food? Plan your next meal before you have finished the one you are eating?

Do you think you are hungry all the time? Do you eat between meals? Do you need snacks to keep you going? Do you buy chocolate and crisps when you buy fuel for your car? Do you eat when you are driving? Do you eat when you are watching TV? Do you eat at your desk? Do you generally eat all the time? Or is it such a problem you only eat in secret?

Is it working for you this eating to feel better? Does the feeling last? Does it make your heart sing? Do you want to end this secondary benefit that food provides and break free of the prison of filling up the lack within you with food?

Do you deny how much you have eaten - even to yourself? Do you constantly lose a half stone in weight only to put it straight back on  again? Do you go on a binge before you go on a diet? Do you keep either being on a diet or planning to be on one?

Where to start?

How to begin?

What is the point?

Does anyone care?

How long have you got to live anyway? May as well eat to get through it?

Other people must be starving themselves and be miserable to be so thin?

Recognise any of these thought patterns? Do you like thinking like that? Do you want to change such limiting beliefs?

A food diary is a great way to keep track of exactly what you are eating.

You don’t have to make your food diary public – just make sure you list everything you eat and drink.  Soon you will only want to eat food that is delicious and nourishing… Try it… What have you got to lose… only that weight you don’t want….
